3/16/21 Gilchrist will be hosting their third annual Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day Celebration
virtually, on Sunday, March 28, at 3 p.m. This FREE celebration will offer all Vietnam War veterans and their loved ones a day of much-deserved healing. Over 12% of Gilchrist’s hospice patients are veterans, some of which served during the Vietnam War era. Gilchrist’s Welcome Home Celebration aims to honor the veterans in their care and across the nation, recognize the unique needs of these veterans and thank them for their sacrifice and service. On March 30, 2015, Governor Hogan signed his first bill into law making March 30 “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day Celebration” in the state of Maryland. To honor this day appropriately for the Vietnam veterans and their families, Gilchrist has hosted three celebrations, with over 1,500 people in attendance, over the past several years.
