Lewisham: Man in hospital after car and motorcycle crash

A man has been rushed to hospital following a serious crash involving a car and motorcycle which has caused major disruption in Lewisham. The crash took place on Loampit Vale, a major road connecting Lewisham and New Cross, shortly before 12pm. The victim, believed to be aged in his 50s, was taken to a major trauma centre.  Pictures from the scene show a battered motorcycle lying in the middle of the road, which has been taped off by police. Loampit Vale has been taped off (@Love SE4) A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: We were called at 11.58am today (14 May) to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and motorcycle on Loampit Vale, SE13.

Police rescue 26 stolen dogs in raid on illegal kennel in Surrey

More than two dozen stolen dogs have been seized at an illegal kennel, police have said. Three women aged 20, 23, and 30 were also arrested for fraud offences following the raid in Epsom, Surrey, yesterday. All 26 dogs found on the site were examined by a vet and will continue to receive medical treatment. Also found on site were three stolen caravans, two stolen vehicles and a stolen trailer which were also seized. Surrey Police said enquiries were ongoing to try and track down the owners of the stolen animals. Images via Surrey Police Three people have been arrested and 26 dogs seized by police during a raid in Epsom targeting fraud activity this morning (Wednesday, April 28). Police said that a 23 year-old woman, a 20 year-old woman and a 30 year-old woman were arrested for fraud offences during the operation. While making the arrests, police found dozens of dogs on site, as well as a number of stolen vehicles. Said a spokesperson for Surrey Police: All the dogs found on the site were examined by a vet at the location. Currently 26 have been seized due to animal welfare concerns or a suspicion that they may be stolen.
