Project’s other two phases to begin this year
Chicago-based real estate development and investment company Speedwagon Capital Partners and locally based The Mainland Companies have broken ground on their New Heights District south of downtown and released new images of the project.
A release notes the development will unfold on a primarily industrial area comprising about 20 acres and bordered by the Nashville City Cemetery, the interstate loop and CSX train tracks, just west of which sits the Adventure Science Center.
Specifically, work has started on New Heights 915, a two-story Class A, 31,000-square-foot office building (pictured) to be fully occupied by co-working venture Serendipity Labs. The address is

Many of us have probably spent at least a little of our stir-crazy pandemic period decluttering attics, drawers, closets and basements. But I’ll bet few of us have found things more significant that what the folks at New Heights Brewing Co. have stashed away in their cellar. This popular Pie Town brewery has always had a penchant for experimenting with fun beers, often aging them in used spirits casks to infuse them with even more interesting characters and flavors.
Starting at noon this Saturday, Jan. 30, New Heights will be digging out some of its funkiest and most fun bottles for a special, first-come-first-served cellar bottle sale. The brewery will offer almost 100 bottles from some of its most popular previous releases, including some that fans probably thought were lost to time.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â A portion of 5th Avenue in Nashville has been renamed Rep. John Lewis Way in honor of the late congressman and civil rights icon.
Temporary signage was installed Thursday at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Jefferson Street. A permanent sign will be installed in July as part of a dedication service to mark one year since his passing. An initial celebration, originally set for February, was postponed due to the pandemic.
