LOS ANGELES One person was killed and three others were wounded in a shooting at a crowded party in Los Angeles, authorities said.
The shooters were believed to be two gunmen who walked up to the party late Sunday in a residential area of Hollywood near the Sunset Gower Studios.
Police Capt. Brian Bixler said the motive was unknown and he asked witnesses to come forward.
“We would really like to know exactly what transpired here,” he said. “There was a lot of people, so we know somebody saw something.”

LOS ANGELES (AP) One person was killed and three others were wounded in a shooting at a crowded party in Los Angeles, authorities said.
The shooters were believed to be two gunmen who walked up to the party late Sunday in a residential area of Hollywood near the Sunset Gower Studios.
Officers who were in the area heard numerous shots fired and went to the scene, where they found the four shooting victims and “an unruly crowd,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement Monday.
“It is unknown if this is gang related,” the statement added.

Police were investigating a shooting that left one dead and injured three others in Hollywood on May 9.
LOS ANGELES - An investigation was underway in Hollywood after one person was killed and three others were injured when shots rang out during a Mother s Day gathering on Sunday night, officials said.
Around 10:15 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department officers were patrolling the area when they heard gunshots. They followed the sound to a home located near the intersection of Fountain Avenue and North Gower Street where they found between 30 to 40 people in the middle of the street.

HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Authorities today were looking for two men who were involved in a shooting at a party in Hollywood on Mother s Day that left one man dead and three others wounded.
The shooting was reported about 10:10 p.m. Sunday in the 6100 block of West Afton Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victims were all men in their 30s and 50s, according to the LAPD.
The name of the fatally wounded man, who died at the scene, was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
“It is the most egregious thing that you could do indiscriminate fire into any kind of party, LAPD Lt. John Radtke told Fox11. “We re very fortunate in many ways in these incidents that we don t have little kids or babies being killed inside a residence. So as bad as this is, unfortunately, it could be worse.”
