Former Black Stars captain, John Mensah
Former Ghana International, Abdul Rahman Issah has said that he played a huge role in John Mensah‘s national team career in the early 2000s.
Rahman Issah played with the former Black Stars captain during his time with Swiss side AC Bellinzona.
Issah said he recommended John Mensah to then coach of the Ghana U-20 side Coach Afranie as the team was preparing ahead of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina in 2001.
The former Sunderland and Stade Rennes defender impressed heavily when he received the call up which opened the doors to his national team career.
Tutor allegedly defrauds 2 NaBCo personnel of GH¢19,400

The Winneba District Magistrate’s Court has granted GH¢20,000.00 bail with two sureties to Emmanuel Owusu Mintah,28, a Senior High School tutor, in Cape Coast, who was charged with defrauding by false pretences and forgery of documents.
Mintah pleaded not guilty to the charges and the court, presided over by Mr Charles Ohenewa Kufuor, adjourned the case to Thursday, January 28.
Police Inspector Dorinda Azumah told the court that the accused defrauded, Miss Harriet Sarkodie and Miss Alice Adayugah, two personnel of the Nation Builders Corp (NaBCo), to the tune of GH¢19,400.00.
Prosecution said in December, last year, Agnes Adantwi, a friend, introduced Miss Sarkodie to accused to assist her to secure appointment with the Ghana Education Service(GES).

A Senior High School teacher in Cape Coast, Emmanuel Owusu Mintah, has been arraigned before the Winneba District Magistrate s Court charged with defrauding by false pretences and forgery of documents.
Owusu Mintah, 28, who lives in Cape Coast, pleaded not guilty to the charges and the Court, presided over by Mr Charles Ohenewa Kufuor, granted him bail in the sum of GH¢20,000.00 with two sureties.
The case was adjourned to Thursday, January 28, for hearing.
Police Inspector Dorinda Azumah, prosecuting, told the court that the accused person succeeded in defrauding two teachers under the Nation Builders Corp (NABCO) to the tune of GH¢19,400.00.
