Gardener John Fromer will lead an outdoor presentation on “Opening the Perennial Garden,” Tuesday, May 25, at 12 p.m., at Merryspring Nature Center.
Spring is here, and it’s time to open the perennial garden. In this outdoor program, John Fromer will teach how to divide perennials, discuss strategies for weeding, and talk about how to care for young plants early in the growing season. The talk will be followed by a garden walk through the perennial borders at Merryspring.
This program is the first of Fromer’s perennial gardening talk series, which will continue throughout the season at Merryspring.

CAMDEN Merryspring Nature Center will hold its Spring Plant Sale on Friday, May 14, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and on Saturday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The 2021 Plant Sale will feature a diverse assortment of annual and perennial plants. There will also be a variety of vegetable seedlings from lettuce and tomatoes to onions and peppers, as well as the ever-popular petunias and impatiens for your gardens and flower pots.
