Donors to the Tea Party Patriots Foundation, one of the groups that helped organize the January 6 rally preceding the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol, include the Jewish Community Federation and late billionaire Republican donor Sanford Diller, according to a 990 form submitted to the IRS by the tax-exempt nonprofit in 2019.
The right-wing organization was listed on the March to Save America website alongside groups like Stop the Steal, Turning Point Action (an affiliate of Turning Point USA), and Women for America First, according to a report last week from Documented, a watchdog group that investigates corporate influence. A recipient of the University of Alaska Scholar’s award, Vo graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. Larson has been promoted to director of Sales for the outside and inside sales operations of AIH and General Hardware Distributors. Larson has been with the company for nine years in outside sales focusing on key accounts and helping to grow new product lines. Alaska Redistricting Board Retains Key Staff
ANCHORAGE – Monday the Alaska Redistricting Board announced the hiring of Peter Torkelson as Executive Director and TJ Presley as Deputy Director.
“The Board and I are excited to welcome these two experienced Alaskans to the redistricting effort. The task before the board will require tireless hard work, a commitment to exacting standards of technical excellence and the ability to engage the public. Peter and TJ have impressive skills which will be essential to a successful redistricting process and plan.” said John Binkley, Chair of the Alaska Redistricting Board.
