Being made redundant during a pandemic isn t easy, but it can lead to amazing opportunities

The pandemic has seen people in and out of work for the past year. While many have experienced this in the form of being furloughed, others have been made redundant as businesses feel the squeeze of financial pressures due to the pandemic. And midlifers are one of the groups who are being affected most - according to an analysis by Rest Less, an online platform that offers advice to people in their 50s and 60s, redundancies increased by 240 per cent for over-50s last year.
The tensions intensify when Leah tries to help Alf (Ray Meagher) and Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker) with their own dramas at the Surf Club.
After Susie took sponsorship money under false pretences, the Surf Club is facing serious scrutiny and a possible fraud investigation.
As Alf and Roo consider their options, Leah shows her support. However, Justin (James Stewart) is annoyed that she isn t focusing more on their own problems, which leads to a row between the pair.
Things get worse when Justin crosses paths with Susie s jilted partner John Palmer (Shane Withington) and bitterly blames him for everything. Leah is not impressed, so Justin seeks an escape by heading to the beach.
Home and Away star Shane Withington has revealed that his character John Palmer will be "devastated" as the truth about Susie McAllister is finally exposed.

1. Justin and Leah receive shocking news Endemol ShineChannel 5
Justin and Leah are excited about making a fresh start after handing over the $90,000 deposit for their new house. However, when Justin gets in touch with the real estate agent to get the keys, he s told that the house was not sold to them.
The police investigate Susie s crime but a frustrated Leah takes things into her own hands when she feels that there s not enough being done to catch Susie.
Leah begins to look online, hoping to find Susie s trail of destruction, and a concerned Justin tries to offer his help as Leah becomes more and more obsessed with the case.
Elsewhere, a heartbroken John Palmer (Shane Withington) is trying to recover from what Susie has done: she pretended to be in love with John so that she could get access to his money and manipulate the people of Summer Bay.
In addition to taking Justin and Leah s house deposit, Susie also got her hands on John s savings. Now John is trying to sell his house (which is his last asset) in order to give people back the money that Susie stole.
