Kildare Gardaí enforcing 5km limit at Donadea Forest Park and other local amenities

On Sunday Gardai from Clane engaged with the public outside Donadea Forest Park, as part of a series of checkpoints and high visibility patrols at public amenities across the country in support of public health regulations.
Advice was given to a number of motorist in relation to the 5km restrictions.
Officers said that all driver were compliant.
Since their introduction two weeks ago, gardaí have issued approximately 1,500 fines for non-essential travel.
Members of the public are reminded that they are only allowed to exercise within 5km of their home. The 5km limit includes the distance travelled from a person’s home to a location for exercise. In other words, you can’t travel more than 5km to a location to exercise.
