Amatil joins more than 290 leading companies around the world committed to 100% renewable electricity
Coca-Cola Amatil (“Amatil”) today announced it has joined the global RE100 renewable energy initiative and committed to power its entire operations, spanning six countries, with 100% renewable electricity by 2030 (by 2025 in Australia and New Zealand).
RE100 is led by the Climate Group in partnership with CDP, and brings together more than 290 leading companies around the world that are committed to sourcing 100% renewable electricity.

A new era has begun at the North Star’s Marine Discovery Centre after a million-dollar transformation.
The state-of-the art environmental learning facility at Hastings Point is now open to the public and resort guests on Saturdays and during school holidays following a launch event in March. Ian Beadel at the North Star Marine Discovery Centre.
The reopening was launched by environmentalist Jon Dee who has been instrumental in the banning of plastic bags in supermarkets and the introduction of single use bags in some states.
Mr Dee also co-founded Planet Ark with Pat Cash and National Tree Day with Olivia Newton-John.

Salvage Hunters went to Coniston and Windermere in its latest episode, which aired last Wednesday. The Sky programme saw Drew Pritchard, who regularly travels up and down the country to find items to replenish his decorative salvage yard, pay a visit to Coniston’s 500-year-old copper mine and several Lakes antique dealers. Drew and side kick John Tee were full of praise for the area as they were shown entering the county in their van. The pair were certain that they would find some great pieces. Drew said: “One of the most beautiful places in Europe with quite a lot of decent antique shops actually nestled amongst it.
