Bottom five?
Special teams coordinator Nate Kaczor on 5th-round safety Darrick Forrest: His charisma jumps off the screen when he is on the screen virtually with you. That charisma plays with his teammates, meaning the players are going to really like him once they get to know him. Kyle Stackpole (@kylefstackpole) May 7, 2021
I m going to stop talking about Dyami Brown soon, because I don t want the hype to be too much
The NFC East is up for grabs for the 2021 NFL season. That s nothing unusual. After all, this is a division that hasn t had a repeat winner since the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004.
As if that s not enough, none of the division s storied franchises managed to finish with a winning record last season, leaving lots of room for improvement.
The Washington Football Team is the default defending NFC East champion after finishing 7-9. But the Dallas Cowboys are still the early favorites, for seemingly the 20th consecutive year. Clearly hope annually springs eternal for Cowboy Nation.
It would be foolish to count out anybody in this unpredictable division, especially considering the major offseason moves made by Washington, the New York Giants and Philadelphia. As the odds note, every team is a contender, albeit some more popular with the general public than others.
Will Geron Christian and Troy Apke be packing their bags soon?
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports It was reported today that two veteran free agents recently cut by their respective teams, Charles Leno of the Bears and Bobby McCain of the Dolphins, will visit the Washington Football Team facility next week as Ron Rivera continues to strengthen and deepen the Football Team roster in an effort to repeat as NFC East champions. This could end the Washington careers of two 2020 Week 1 starters, LT Geron Christian and FS Troy Apke, both of whom were benched midseason by head coach Ron Rivera.
So long, 2021 NFL draft. Hello, offseason. With all seven rounds in the books, front offices for all 32 teams are surely confident that they improved their rosters over the weekend. That s not always the case, though. Which rookie quarterbacks will actually play in Week 1, and which organizations found the best value on Days 2 and 3 of the draft? We ll find out in a few months when teams report for training camp.
For now, we re looking ahead to what s next for each team. What positions do all 32 still need to address, and what s still lingering ahead of the 2021 season? We asked our NFL Nation reporters to identify the biggest looming question for the team they cover. There were a few that hit on the quarterback situation what s going on in Green Bay? while others were tailored toward taking a franchise from good to great next season.
