The Tourism Industry Association of P.E.I. is happy to see the provincial government's new program to support accommodations businesses, but said it's not enough to keep tourism operators afloat this summer.
The P.E.I. government has responded to calls for help for the struggling tourism accommodations sector by unveiling another gift card incentive program.
Some in Prince Edward Island's tourism industry say the province's reopening plan has them worried, especially since P.E.I.'s timeline for welcoming tourists from across Canada doesn't jive with the one announced by neighbouring New Brunswick, just across the Confederation Bridge.
