If you or a loved one are hospitalized with COVID-19 in Volusia, Flagler or St. Johns counties, the only way you will be able to see anyone aside from medical staff is through a computer or phone screen.
Halifax Health, AdventHealth and Flagler Hospital have all transitioned to virtual visits for COVID-19 patients. The adjustment is due to the continuing increase of hospital admissions and the overall well-being of staff and visitors.
Exceptions to the new visitation policies can be made for children, pregnant women and end of life situations at all three hospital systems.
On Monday, Halifax Health announced they had 139 COVID-19 patients in the hospital yet another record.
