It’s not very often, if not unprecedented, that a track’s “Late Double” in Tuesday morning qualifiers is won by a pair of Breeders Crown champions, much less Crown champion stablemates, but such was the case with four-year-olds Sandbetweenmytoes and Next Level Stuff for trainer Jim Campbell at Harrah’s Philadelphia.
The Somebeachsomewhere - Galleria gelding Sandbetweenmytoes, last seen at the pari-mutuels beating U.S. Horse of the Year Tall Dark Stranger while paying $409.80 to win in their Crown event at Harrah s Hoosier Park, followed up on a 1:55.3 qualifying triumph here last week with a 1:53 victory despite a “good +1” surface Tuesday. Driver Scott Zeron was a three-time winner on the morning; Campbell, who sent out four winners during the morning session, looks to have this one ready for facing the older stock for Fashion Farms LLC.

White Sands Perceptions, a limited box set collection that can be found at www.JohnCraig Photography/perceptions. The set of five 8.5” x 11” archival prints are among Mr. Craig’s favorite images from his recent travels to White Sands National Park and are presented in an archival folio.
Mr. Craig’s work is rooted in how memory and time play a role in past experience.
“My work tries to capture glimpses of places and experiences that remain in my memory long after I have departed the location,” said Mr. Craig. “I use a technique call Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) photography to create painterly images where lines, colors and time blend together.”

Voters in New Brunswick now know who they will be voting for in the upcoming municipal elections.
Nominations for the municipal, district education council and regional health authority elections closed at 2 p.m. Friday.
According to Elections New Brunswick’s website as of 2 p.m., four people are in the running for mayor in
Saint John: Darrell Bastarache, Donna Reardon, Mel Vincent Jr. and Howard Yeomans. A total of 47 people are running for the 10 council seats in the city.
In
Quispamsis, incumbent Gary Clark and deputy mayor Libby O’Hara have put their name forward for mayor. There are also 10 candidates for the town’s seven council seats.
