This was often the case during time spent on the Royal Yacht Britannia.
The Queen had use of the yacht from 1954 until it was decommissioned in 1997 due to the expense of running and maintaining it.
She very much loved the ship and once described it as the “one place where I can truly relax”.
Author Robert Hardman explained in his book Queen of the World that there an easy-going mood on the ship, however, one could never take it too far.

Protect our landscape and wildlife for the future
The conclusions in the final report of the review of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (The Age, 28/1) are stark: the act is not fit for purpose and needs a complete overhaul. The urgency of this challenge demands that politicians of all parties work together to ensure that the natural beauty of the Australian landscape and its native wildlife remain as a legacy for generations to come.

Tweed Mayor Chris Cherry told
Echonetdaily: ‘It was a moving ceremony, with many friends, colleagues and family sharing insights into his life and passion.’
‘Doug Anthony was a statesman, a quiet achiever with no airs and graces. His love for his family, and for the Tweed was evident in all of the reflections made. He leaves an amazing legacy in his family but for the wider community he has left us with our incredible Tweed Regional Gallery and a passion to protect and advance agricultural Tweed,’ Cr Cherry said.
