Webb County Judge Tano Tijerina lauded Santos for always being himself kind, good-humored, low-key and professional. “You’re all heart and you’re all love,” Tijerina said. Commissioner Wawi Tijerina said she and Santos go back a long way, having grown up together in Colonia Guadalupe.

The oath of office was administered by Texas Senator Judith Zaffirini in a closed ceremony taking all COVID-19 guidance into consideration. “I am humbled by the continued confidence given to me by the voters of Webb County Precinct 3, and pledge to continue devoting my efforts to representing them, fighting for them and continuing to prioritize making Webb County accountable to all its citizens,” Galo said.
