Olivia Jade on Operation Varsity Blues: Who is she and what is she doing now?

Influencer Olivia Jade, sometimes known as Olivia Jade Giannulli, is the daughter of Full House actor Lori Loughlin and fashion mogul, Mossimo Giannulli.
She became wrapped up in the 2019 college admissions scandal after her parents were caught-out, having bribed her way into the University of Southern California (USC).
Many sympathized with Jade in Netflix’s Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal documentary as it showed a montage of her YouTube videos, amidst uncovering the scandal. In these videos, she expresses candidly that she wasn’t interested in going to school and she wanted to drop out of high school, but her parents wouldn’t let her.

NEW YORK - Chris Smith didnât initially think the 2019 college bribery scandal made for a good documentary subject. He was editing âFyre,â the hit Netflix documentary about the music-festival fiasco, when his longtime collaborator, Jon Karmen, suggested another real tale of fraud and spectacle be their next film.
âI didnât see it at all,â said Smith in a recent interview. âI thought it was well covered.â

Netflix released its Operation Varsity Blues documentary about the 2019 college admissions scandal on Wednesday
The film features a re-enactment of the moment Mossimo Giannulli confronted his daughter Olivia Jade s high school counselor
The counselor contacted USC after seeing she d been flagged as a crew recruit
He told the university that he didn t believe she d ever participated in the sport
Giannulli then went to the counselor and accused him of meddling in Olivia Jade s future
Loughlin and Giannulli were jailed last fall for paying $500,000 to get their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella into USC as crew recruits
Neither teen participated in the sport but their applications featured photos of them posing on rowing machines
