Many Capitol riot suspects have lost the zeal they had during the January 6 saga, as they are confronted with the consequences of their actions. With the evidence of photos and videos, it didn’t take long before many of them were convicted.
The reality of their consequences dawned on some of them just days after the riots, while for some it took weeks or months to nab them. Regardless of the time taken, some of them have come out to express regret and shame for their actions. The ramifications include loss of jobs, financial ruins, and, for some, the prospect of quite a long time in prison. Some of them may suffer consequences throughout their lifetime and beyond, for being the first-ever Capitol rioters.
