Chinese nationalists have erupted in anger at South Korean boyband BTS after one of its members thanked Korean War veterans for their sacrifices.
The singer, who goes by the name RM, made the remark in a recorded acceptance speech for an award from the Korea Society for promoting US-Korean relations.
RM said in a speech, which included no mention of China: “We will always remember the history of pain that our two nations shared together and the sacrifices of countless men and women.
“After 70 years, the world we are living in is much closer than before. Boundaries in many aspects are getting more blurred,” RM added.

WASHINGTON (NASA PR) In 2020, NASA made significant progress on America’s Moon to Mars exploration strategy, met mission objectives for the Artemis program, achieved significant scientific advancements to benefit humanity, and returned human spaceflight capabilities to the United States, all while agency teams acted quickly to assist the national COVID-19 response.
