JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 21-year-old man is facing murder and weapons charges in the shooting death of his girlfriend’s 26-year-old ex-boyfriend on New Year’s Eve, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was found with a gunshot wound at the Club at Town Center apartment complex on St. Johns Bluff Road near the intersection of Alumni Way. He died at the hospital.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. The Jacksonville Sheriff s Office ended 2020 on a high note after the Zone 1 Bike Squad rescued an injured hawk on Thursday.
JSO said officers rescued the hawk in the area of Kings Road and I-95.
After rescuing the bird, officers decided to name it “The Mandalorian after the popular Star Wars series on Disney Plus.
JSO contacted the Bird Emergency Aid and Kare Sanctuary on Friday and have been told The Mandalorian is doing well.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.
The Jacksonville Sheriff s Office is searching for missing 66-year-old Suzanne Leek from Hallandale Beach.
JSO described Leek as being 5 feet 2 inches tall, 160 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
She was last seen on Dec. 11 near the Little Jetties in the 3500 block of SR A1A at about 7 p.m. A witness told police they saw a woman believed to be Leek walking north away from the Little Jetties.
According to the JSO, Leek s vehicle was found in the area with the engine still running on Dec. 12.
