The ball field at the base of Snow King Mountain will be open in June and July, according to Parks and Rec.
The field is typically open all season long. This yearâs change is due to construction for Snow King Mountain Resortâs new gondola, which is set to have its base and accompanying ticketing facility in the town-owned Phil Baux Park. The park encompasses the parking lots and fields to the west of the swing sets and bouldering wall.
The ball field will be open for public use and âspecial event requests and reservationsâ from June 1 to July 31, according to a Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation news release.

JACKSON, Wyo. (KIFI) - Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation has been working closely with all the stakeholders involved in the Snow King gondola construction for the summer of 2021.
Based on construction timelines and impacts on the surrounding areas, the ballfield at Snow King will be available for public use and special event requests and reservations starting June 1, 2021, through July 31, 2021.
Staff will continually evaluate the construction timeline to determine if reservations will be taken after July 31, 2021.
There may be limited parking due to the construction. The parking lot accessed from Snow King Avenue will be open and construction impacts should be minimal.

All three contractors could address issues raised in the past year.
Climbers fretted that the proposed gym could be inadequate if appropriate expertise wasnât included early in the design process. Local businesses questioned an earlier recommendation to hire out-of-town firms during the COVID-19 pandemic. And hiring an external ownerâs representative became an issue after a Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation project on Snow Ki
