CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) Murder charges have been filed in connection to the death last year of a West Frankfort woman.
The body of Robin Williams, 41, was found last September in an abandoned house in Carbondale. At that time, investigators identified Michael Moore, 44, of Franklin County, a known associate of Williams’, as a suspect in her death.
In January 2021, the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office filed First Degree Murder and Aggravated Domestic Battery charges against Moore and issued a warrant for his arrest.
Michael Moore is currently incarcerated in a Florida jail on unrelated charges. When he’ll be extradited to Illinois is not known.

Carbondale Police and the Jackson County State s Attorney say an arrest has been made in connection with a homicide investigation dating back to September of 2020.
Police began investigating the disappearance and death of 41-year old Robin Renee Williams of West Frankfort on September 21st of last year. Her body was found in an abandoned home in the 600 block of East Park Street. At the time, the identified 44-year old Michael Lee Moore of Franklin County as suspect.
In January, Jackson County State s Attorney Joe Cervantez filed murder and domestic battery charges against Moore. A warrant was issued, and Moore was found in a jail in Florida on an unrelated charge.
