COHN | The Journal Gazette Shawn Szydlowski, in explaining why he had been benched for three games last weekend, said he had been so frustrated with his lack of production that he would grip his sticks so hard that they would break. Worse, he didn’t realize just how much his frustration was negatively affecting the rest of the team. “I would say I was reacting the wrong way to not having success” said Szydlowski, the Komets’ longtime star. “I’m used to having success here on this team and I just wasn’t having it. I think I was just putting too much pressure on myself at the end of the day.”
