The reopening of city hall and our senior centers is yet another positive step in our community responsibly resuming the quality-of-life activities and everyday amenities we enjoy,” Palmieri said in a statement.
The mayors said senior centers, in order to reopen, must craft reopening plans and implement appropriate measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The reopening plans must be approved by the Oneida County Department of Health prior to the reopening of senior centers.

ROME, N.Y. – Although New York is relaxing COVID-19 restrictions, some local events still can’t go on under the current guidelines – including Rome’s annual Honor America Days weekend.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Monday capacity restrictions will be lifted across the state for many venues mid-May, but the limit on outdoor gatherings is still capped at 500, unless all attendees can show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test. Six feet of social distancing must also be maintained, even if capacity restrictions no longer apply.
