CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel shortstop Brooks O’Brien tied the game with a two-run single in the ninth inning, and then won the game with a suicide squeeze in the 11th as the Bulldogs rallied for a 3-2 victory over Jacksonville Wednesday night at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Sophomore catcher Mat Nelson hit his 11
th home run of the season Tuesday, but the Dolphins hit a two-run home run in the ninth inning to beat Florida State 8-7 at Dick Howser Stadium. Nelson had FSU’s first five RBI of the game and now leads the ACC in home runs and runs batted in (33).
Jacksonville’s Christian Coipel hit three home runs Tuesday, including a two-run home run with two outs in the ninth inning that proved to be the game winner.
Nelson’s first inning single scored Logan Lacey and his third inning grand slam gave FSU a 5-3 lead. It was the first grand slam of Nelson’s career and the third for the Seminoles this season.
