The race is over for Justin Bergman 4 March 2021
He has appeared in court today
Bergman left the Hutt Valley District court today having admitted his wrong doing, pleading guilty to one charge of criminal nuisance and one charge of invading a race track.
He claims his act during Wellington Cup Day was animal rights driven, despite the court hearing accounts of him spooking the horses just before walking out.
Judge Craig Thompson says Bergman posed great danger to everyone involved, and the only explanation is an alcohol fuelled moment of madness.
