GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. At the beginning of May, Tony Hartz and a few friends decided to ride some scooters around their neighborhood. People took notice and wanted to join in and a few rides later, they had 50 people on rideshare scooters. From there, the Scoot Gang was born.
Hartz says the Scoot Gang is more than just goofing around. Yes, they’re having a lot of fun together, but he says when you’re riding on a scooter, you’re making a smart choice with how to spend your time.
“All I do is try to aim high, think positive and do anything I can do to stay busy, Hartz said. Because if you busy you have less time to get into anything negative.”

MUSKEGON, Mich. “My first experience at the Frauenthal was when I was three or four years old my parents took me to see a production of sesame street live, Says Eric Messing. It was my first live theater experience.”
Messing’s experience is not unique. He’s the executive director of the Frauenthal, but it’s been a long time since he’s seen a show…
“It’s been over a year since the Frauenthal has been full,” Messing says, walking through the empty theater.

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan Standing around a pool table two men are having a conversation.
“There’s like nowhere to go and be like ‘hey let’s be a dad together, you know that daddy support,” Says Davon Ruff.
Ruff is a client of Alpha Grand Rapids. The man he s shooting pool with is Rich Haadsma, a mentor and coach with alpha.
“We get guys coming through our doors all the time that just need a little help and a little encouragement, Haadsma says. And if we can get them together I think that will be a big help for them.”

The four-pound vehicle ascended to about 10 feet above the surface of the red planet for about 40 seconds, before descending back to the ground.
The helicopter arrived on Mars along with the Perseverance rover on Feb. 18 in a dramatic, high-definition landing. As the U.S. and other nations prepare to return humans to the moon, and eventually land on Mars, using drones to closely assess the surrounding landscape will become ever-more important.
