ALLEN PARK The Lions drafted seven players this week, but the work isn’t done yet. Undrafted free agency is now under way, and Detroit is sitting on almost two-dozen open roster spots.

Detroit took Syracuse cornerback Ifeatu Melifonwu at Pick 101, the third-round compensatory selection acquired in the Matthew Stafford trade. A pair of cornerbacks went off the board before Pick 101. The Dallas Cowboys took Oregon State cornerback Nahshon Wright, and then the Tennessee Titans took Washington’s Elijah Molden to put Detroit on the clock.
