Jammu – Srinagar Highway: One-way LMV traffic from Kashmir To Be Allowed Tomorrow

SRINAGAR: Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) from Kashmir will be permitted on the Jammu-Srinagar highway tomorrow, if the weather and road conditions are favorable, authorities informed on Friday. In a communique, traffic police asked the Traffic Control Unit (TCU) in Srinagar to consult with its Ramban counterpart before releasing traffic from Zig (Qazigund) between 0700 and 1200 hours. Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) stranded between Jawahar Tunnel and Banihal will be permitted to travel to Jammu, according to the statement. It also stated that no vehicles will be permitted before or after the cut-off time.

Omar gets 1st dose of COVID vaccine, says it was smooth, painless Srinagar, Apr 7 (UNI) Former chief minister and National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah on Wednesday got the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and said that it was smooth and painless affair. Mr Abdullah got the first dose of vaccine at S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura. “Got my 1st dose of the #COVIDvaccine this morning. It was a smooth & painless affair. I’m grateful to everyone at SKIMS, Srinagar for vaccinating me today,” Mr Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site twitter. Meanwhile, Omar Abdullah’s father and National Conference (NC) president, who was admitted to SKIMS last week, reportedly once again tested positive for CVOID-19. Dr Abdullah had tested positive for COVID-19 on March 30, weeks after he got first dose of vaccine against the virus at SKIMS in Srinagar.

COVID patients often test positive for quite a few days as the viral load reduces. The important thing is he is responding well to treatment & does not require any supplementary oxygen support,” he wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
