The bodyguards suffered severe bruises and blood clots after being assaulted with canes by their employer and several of his other employees. The victims were also allegedly threatened with a pistol. Dang Wangi police chief ACP Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said today that the incident occurred on Tuesday at the lobby of the One KL condominium at Jalan Pinang here at about 10pm. He said the suspect had approached both his bodyguards and asked them if they were fasting.

He said the complainant and his colleague then followed the suspect to his house at Batu Nilam, Klang.

KULAI: Police here have arrested a man on Sunday (March 7) for allegedly stabbing a 78-year-old man with a knife in Taman Kota Kulai near here. Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said the suspect was arrested at around 4.15pm while he was sitting at the five-foot way of a shop in the neighbourhood at Jalan Pinang 1. Jakel plans skyscraper in vicinity of Petronas Twin Towers

THE property development arm of textile wholesaler and retailer Jakel Group is planning to build a 74-storey-tall building within the Golden Triangle near the Petronas Twin Towers in Jalan Pinang. Sources peg the gross development value (GDV) of the development adjacent to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and next to the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur at an estimated RM2 billion. When completed, it may be as tall as Four Seasons Place. A document sighted by The Edge shows that the developer, Mabrur Land Sdn Bhd, submitted building plans for Lot 195, Jalan Pinang, to Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) for approval on Jan 12. Plans for the freehold parcel, measuring 57,447 sq ft, include three floors of retail and four floors of exhibition space. Other components include a hotel, office and serviced apartment.
