FT Ministry to connect Kampung Baru to DUKE, AKLEH highways

Tan Sri Annuar Musa. -filepic PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): The Federal Territories Ministry will implement a road project to link Kampung Baru and the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) as well as the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), involving a cost of RM250mil. Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the project, known as DUKE 2A Lingkaran Kampung Baru or LINK, would commence in stages beginning this year and is expected to be completed by 2024. He added that this project was crucial to redevelop Kampung Baru and also the main prerequisite to enable bigger developments in the area. As we all know, the Kampung Baru redevelopment plan has been approved with a high plot ratio, thus it should have an efficient traffic flow.

Cops nab four over armed robbery at shop selling luxury items

JOHOR BARU: The police have arrested four men believed to be involved in an armed robbery here. Seri Alam OCPD Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said that three of the suspects were arrested at about 9.50am on Monday (Feb 22) around Jalan Tun Razak in Skudai and Taman Johor Jaya. Following the arrest and investigations on the three suspects, we were able to identify another suspect. The fourth suspect was arrested at 3.29am on Wednesday (Feb 24) in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur. They were believed to have been involved in an armed robbery that took place at about 3.30pm on Saturday (Feb 20) in Johor Jaya. The suspects are in their 20s and 40s, he said in a statement here on Thursday (Feb 25).
