Three crew members working on a Japanese freighter were missing early Friday after it collided with another ship and then sank in the Seto Inland Sea.
Nine of the 12 people onboard the cargo vessel, called the Byakko, were rescued and the Japanese Coast Guard were continuing to search for the others about 2.5 miles north of the coast of Imabari in Ehime prefecture.
