RESIDENTS at an Ilkley care home have been treated to a January Christmas after the traditional December celebrations had to be postponed due to Covid-19. Staff at MHA Glen Rosa Care Home in Grove Road thought it would be a wonderful way to lift residents’ spirits and celebrate Christmas Day in style, as many residents had to self-isolate over Christmas 2020 due to cases of Covid-19 at the home. Staff pulled out all the festive stops by decorating Christmas trees and hanging garlands, playing Christmas tunes and even organising for a special appearance by a singing Santa (Mark Brow, Glen Rosa’s maintenance man) who treated the residents to a few Elvis hits.
