A Florida congressman appeals a fine for not wearing his mask in the House chamber.
Republican Brian Mast has sent a letter to fellow South Florida U.S. Representative Ted Deutch, the Democrat Chair of the House Ethics Committee, appealing a $500 fine issued to him from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, when he refused to wear a face covering earlier this month.
Mast says he is fully vaccinated and is following the science, citing the CDC s new guidelines that those who are vaccinated can go without a mask or physically distancing. He claims Pelosi is going against the science and only cares about power and control.
