WASHINGTON: The US House was expected to vote Friday on President Joe Biden s US$1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package, but a Senate ruling means the final version will not include a minimum wage hike as sought by Democrats.
Biden had campaigned extensively on raising the national minimum wage to US$15 an hour, from a rate of US$7.25 that has stood since 2009.
