Gov. Ralph Northam has sent 2,000 National Guard Members to the nation’s capital ahead of next week’s presidential inauguration. Northam expressed remorse over sending members of the guard to Washington, but said the move was necessary following last week’s riot at the Capitol. Measures have also been taken to ensure safety in Richmond ahead of a pro-gun rally planned for Monday. Mayor Levar Stoney said road closures are already in place, and Virginia’s Capitol Square has been closed to the public. Those measures will be in place until at least Jan. 21.

That person is Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. . If she is successful in not only removing Trump from office but also barring him from ever holding elective office again, it would allow the Republican Party to shed the cement boots pulling it into the abyss.

Trump is a tumor that needs to be cut from the GOP without any delay. And Pelosi is mercifully handing Republicans a scalpel.

That person is Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
It seems unlikely Pelosi would want to rescue a party that has so vilified her over the years, smearing Democratic candidates as having her “San Francisco values” and the like. And she has responded in kind, often earning every ounce of the GOP-led rebuke she has received.
