I t should be the endeavour of every Governmental department in charge of arranging execution of various developmental works to ensure that foolproof transparency was there in the entire mechanism of such works. Govt offers Rs 1,500 crore for renewable, power gears’ manufacturing zones

As per the proposal, states that offer land and power at lowest cost besides other incentives will get to set up the zones. A senior government official said the proposal aims at indigenisation and curbing imports to establish self-sufficiency in power and renewable energy equipment.

NEW DELHI: The government proposes to set up of exclusive manufacturing zones for power and renewable equipment in the country. The Centre proposes to offer Rs 1,500 crore assistance for setting up three such zones within three years at locations to be decided through online auctions.
To follow the amendment by the Centre, the state cabinet has amended its Uttarakhand Procurement Rules, 2017, government spokesperson Madan Kaushik said after the cabinet meeting.
