The board has proposed four zoning changes to June s annual town meeting, where each will need a two-thirds majority vote for passage. The one that has generated easily the most public discourse concerns the rules governing cultivation of cannabis. But that was not the only bylaw to get pushback from the Select Board at its Monday meeting. That board voted, 4-1, against recommending that town meeting accept the pot bylaw as written. Cape Town - The Greater Table View Action Forum (GTAF) is fighting yet another development, this time a block of flats on the corner of Grey Avenue and Blaauwberg Road.
The forum said the four-storey block of flats had balconies that looked directly into the neighbouring properties. It said the City did not care about the law and the damage being done to the values of neighbouring properties.
GTAF planning and biodiversity head David Ayres said they believed this was illegal and was ignored by the City.

Upgrading sidewalks, creating bike lanes, improving the streetscape and providing access to the river could help make Powder Mill Road a more active and viable economic engine.
That is the idea behind an $80,000 grant the towns of Maynard and Acton received from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, which provides technical assistance to help create a redevelopment strategy for the area.
Powder Mill Road is about 1.5 miles and extends from Waltham Street in Maynard to High Street in Acton.
Zoning is haphazard and includes seven zoning districts. Acton’s portion of the study area is zoned as the Powder Mill Zoning District. Maynard’s portion of the study area includes a Business, a Downtown Mixed-Use Overlay, an Industrial, a Single-Residence a General Residence and a Garden Apartment District.
