Jessica Alupo (Maj.Rtd) – Vice President Hon. Jessica Alupo will be Uganda’s second female Vice President after Dr. Specioza Wandira Kazibwe (1994 to 2003). She is an educator, politician and a former military officer. She has served in the cabinet of Uganda as minister of education since 2011. Over the years, she has worked as a high school teacher and an instructor at Uganda Urban Warfare Training School, and as an intelligence officer at the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence. Hon. Alupo is making a comeback to politics after she lost her seat as the Katakwi district woman representative in the 2016 general elections. She started her political career in 2001 when she won the same position, and was re-elected in 2006.
