One worker was treated on the spot for minor burns.
The other two workers identified as Dilip Patel and Deva Rathwa were shifted to a private hospital in Bharuch for further treatment. The accident took place at a pressure pump of a line carrying nitric acid.
Sources said that the health of both the workers was stable. The entire matter is also being investigated by the Bharuch District Factory Inspector’s Office.
MD Vaghela, deputy director, industrial safety and health, Bharuch said, “There was a leak from the nitric acid pump. Two workers standing nearby suffered burns. Being a hypertensive pump, the acid came on the workers with force. Investigation in the matter was on.”

Saint-Gobain India Pvt Ltd – Gyproc on Thursday launched its first manufacturing facility for ceiling tiles at Jhagadia, Gujarat.
The plant is spread across over 21,000 square feet area, and is strategically located to service the market of gypsum ceiling tiles across India.

BHARUCH: The Bhartiya Tribal Party (BTP) in Gujarat will contest upcoming local body polls in the state in alliance with the AIMIM, BTP chief Chhotu Vasava said on Saturday after AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel met him at his residence at Jhagadia in Bharuch district.
Notably, Vasava had in December announced severing of ties with the Congress party in two district Panchayats in Narmada and Bharuch.
