Eric George is making headlines as a freshman lacrosse player at Chowan University in North Carolina.
The Stony Plain native (18) was awarded an athletic scholarship to the private school in 2020. Prior to that, he had been a member of the Parkland Posse Lacrosse Association his entire minor lacrosse career before being drafted by the Fort Saskatchewan Rebels Junior B Tier 1 program in 2019.

Initially a baseball player, George’s lacrosse journey began when he was eight years old. He said his family had a mini lacrosse stick in their garage which he began to play with one summer. The following year, his father pulled him out of baseball and enrolled him in the Posse’s minor box lacrosse program.
