“Beyond Evil” (aka “Monster”) won best drama while “Samjin Company English Class” was chosen best film at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards held on May 13 to honor outstanding works in TV, film and theater.
Popular host and entertainer Yoo Jae-suk and film director Lee Joon-hik, who helmed “The Book of Fish,” won the daesang, or grand prizes, for TV and film, respectively.
“Beyond Evil” is one of those rare masterpieces that sticks long after its end. Tightly-plotted, enthralling, and altogether addictive, this show will have you on the edge of your seat, covered in goosebumps. It starts, as most stories do, in the sleepy town of Manyang where evil first bloomed 20 years ago. Women went missing, with nothing found but their fingertips. When a popular, well-liked girl joins the vanished, her brother, Lee Dong Sik (Shin Ha Kyun), is accused of killing her. 20 years later, in the present, Lee Dong Sik has been long acquitted of the murder. A policeman in Manyang, he endures the suspicion and dislike of the locals there who still haven’t forgotten the past.

Nam Da Reum and Kim Sae Ron are confirmed to lead the cast of Kakao TV s Shaman Girl Ga Doo Shim.
In a new report, the OTT streaming tv officially announced that the former child actor would take on the role of Na Woo Soo.
On the other hand, his co-star, Kim Sae Ron, will play 18-year-old Ga Doo Shim.
Back in April, her agency, Gold Medalist, revealed that the actress has been offered to appear in an upcoming drama and has been looking to a favorable outlook.
