The 18-year-old has played club soccer with Rio Rapids and Zia Youth Soccer League.“Yoely has shown a dedication to learning and developing his game,” said New Mexico United Academy head coach, Paul Leese. “He possesses great close control which allows him to be dangerous in attacking areas, and he can also create opportunities for his teammates.”Merritt is a midfielder from Sandia Prep and won a State Championship with the Sundevils.
