The first-ever, all-digital CES® 2021 made history as the largest digital tech event. Almost 2000 companies unveiled next-gen innovation for a better future. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, the all-digital CES 2021 featured product launches from startups to tech giants, keynotes from global industry leaders, live entertainment from Hollywood, and more than 100 hours of conference programming.
“The all-digital CES 2021 engaged the global tech community to experience innovation, make connections and conduct business,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA. “CES showed how the pandemic accelerated the arc of innovation and illustrated the resilience and innovative spirit of our industry. From the latest innovations for the home and entertainment, and advances in 5G, vehicle technology, AI and digital health, the technologies at CES 2021 will pave the way for a brighter tomorrow.”

CES 2021 once again provided tech enthusiasts with a glimpse of the future flying electric cars, smartphones with rollable screens, home robots capable of doing the dishes, and more. But will any of these innovations make their way to your home or driveway? Time will tell. But the annual tech show offered a number of bold concept ideas that grabbed our attention.

Not all futures are rosy. But at least you’ll be able to face the dystopia with this cyberpunk-like mask. PC maker Razer is working on a battery-powered facial mask built with smart air filters, a built-in microphone, and RGB lighting. Razer will test the prototype, dubbed Project Hazel, over the next few months before deciding whether to make it into a real product.

People-movers turn electric, autonomous and super luxurious
Expect to see more autonomous and electric people-movers or robotaxis, like this concept from Cadillac’s “Halo” portfolio. While this self-driving vehicle resembles a giant toaster on wheels, the boxy, open space includes a huge glass roof, a wrap-around light-coloured sofa and two captains’ chairs that make it look like a luxurious living room. Designed for a group of family or friends to travel together to a destination, it’s filled with innovative technology.
