+ April 16, 2021 WEEKS after saying that the Filipinos shall prevail over the pandemic, President Duterte warned of “bleak months” ahead and admitted that he is having a hard time addressing the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) crisis amid the continuous infection (with a running average of 12,000 cases daily recently), and limited vaccine supply.
President Duterte said the pandemic is taking much of his time and likened his situation to passing through “purgatory.” “I am having a hard time.
I’m grappling with the issue of Covid-19. It takes most of my time actually,” he bluntly admitted.
The President seems overwhelmed by the enormous problems engendered by the raging pandemic. Federico Pascual Jr., a Philippine Star columnist, observed that in his weekly appearances on TV showing him presiding over a meeting, the President “looks tired, unsteady in gait and halting in speech, which does not bode well for a nation in crisis.”

+ April 16, 2021 IT HAS been more than a year since the Cebu City Government shut down the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) in the beginning of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic to prevent the disease from spreading.
Back then, not much was known about SarsCoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19. So the City was right to be extra cautious. But much has changed in the last 12 months.
Keeping fit and eating a well-balanced meal may help keep the disease at bay.
Not everyone, though, can afford to buy fruits, vegetables and non-fatty meats, while a rigorous workout requires hardly any money. But where can people exercise?

It is an eerie, foreboding, reverberating tune, enough to send a tingle down your spine.
This is what a spiderweb sounds like.
From communication to construction, spiderwebs may offer an orchestra of information, says Markus Buehler, engineering professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who has been using artificial intelligence to study them.
This rapidly disappearing area, also known as Old Dubai, is located near Dubai Creek. The narrow alleyways and typical medina-like Arabic bazaar vibe offer a contrast to Dubai’s luxurious modern areas. The spice and fragrance souks, with their eye-popping displays of colorful spices and products, make great subjects.
7. Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo
The Dubai Aquarium is located inside a shopping mall, and this is a great place for underwater photography. They offer experiences like being able to get into a shark cage during feeding time. You wear a helmet with an air line attached to it; no scuba experience is necessary. You can photograph feedings of manta rays, sharks, and a “King Croc,” too.
