The wife of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un made a rare appearance on state media Thursday, surfacing for the third time this year and attending an event that urged women to be loyal wives and daughters to North Korea’s ruling party or armed forces.
Ri Sol Ju, who is thought to have married Kim in 2009, appeared sitting next to her husband in a crowd of North Korean officials as she watched the families of Korean People’s Army servicemen put on a performance at Pyongyang’s Mansudae Art Theatre.

Kim and his wife, Ri Sol Ju, also watched a performance of song and dance at the Kumsusan Palace of Sun, where his father and grandfather lie in state, in celebration of the national holiday, KCNA reported today.

Kim and his wife, Ri Sol Ju, also watched a performance of song and dance at the Kumsusan Palace of Sun, where his father and grandfather lie in state, in celebration of the national holiday, KCNA reported on Friday. When the performance was over, the audience again broke into stormy cheers for the General Secretary, it reported.
