Travel disruptions again for East Lancashire as snow falls

People commuting on the M65 were met with slow moving traffic in the morning from 7am. There were “lots of collisions coming in as the snow falls heavily”, according to Deputy Chief Constable Terry Woods, while Highways England also warned motorists over snow-hit roads. The Blackburn Bus Company was also unable to pick passengers up from roads with too much snow on them. In a tweet, a spokesman said: “Due to snow we’re currently unable to reach our stops at Shakespeare Avenue and Wordsworth Drive on The 6/7. “We’re also unable to reach Emerald Avenue on The 22. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
