While addressing media at Bihar State Legislature on Tuesday, Shahnawaz described the act of filing a case for removal of verses from the Quran as the one of stooping low and added that such acts can never be tolerated for those who may tarnish the social fabric. He further criticised the utterances of Rizvi on the Khalifa and rubbished them as ‘ochchi bayanbazi’ (mean statements). Lashing out at Rizvi, he asserted: “Who is he to issue such statements? No religious scripture can be treated that way in India. His statements are absolutely unacceptable. Such statements are always contrary to BJP’s core values.”
