Pak Army provides safe passage to 46 Afghan soldiers

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army has provided refuge and safe passage to 46 soldiers of Afghan National Army (ANA) and Border Police, including five officers, unable to hold their military posts along Pak-Afghan international border due to evolving security situation in Afghanistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, the assistance was given after ANA’s local commander positioned opposite Arundu Sector, Chitral, made a request to the Pakistan Army since they were unable to hold their military posts. Pakistan Army contacted Afghan authorities for information and necessary formalities, as these Afghan soldiers arrived at Arundu Sector, Chitral, late in the night.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Forty-six Afghan soldiers who took refuge in Pakistan were handed over to Afghan authorities, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said late Monday.
According to ISPR, 46 Afghan soldiers, including five officers, have been returned to Afghan govt authorities at Nawa Pass Bajaur today at 0035 hours (Pakistan Standard Time).
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Afghan National Army local Commander opposite Arundu Sector, Chitral requested Pakistan Army for refuge and safe passage for forty-six soldiers of Afghan National Army and Border Police including five officers as they were unable to hold their military posts along Pak-Afghan international border due to evolving security situation in Afghanistan.
ISLAMABAD: Amid a volatile situation in Afghanistan, the Pakistan Army has provided ‘refuge and safe passage’ to as many as 46 soldiers and officers of the Afghan National Army (ANA) and Border Police who lost their military posts along the border.
A statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday explained that a local ANA commander opposite Arundu, Chitral, had requested help for the 46 soldiers including five officers as “they were unable to hold their military posts along the Pak-Afghan international border due to evolving security situation in Afghanistan”. The Pakistan Army contacted the Afghan authorities for the relevant information and necessary formalities, the statement added.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The 73rd martyrdom anniversary of Captain Raja Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, first ever recipient of greatest award, Nishan-e-Haider, is being observed today (Tuesday), Dunya News reported.
Raja Muhammad Sarwar was born in Singhori village in Gujar Khan district on November 10, 1910. His father, Raja Muhammad Hayat Khan, served in the British army as a constable. The British government gifted Raja Hayat Khan with property near Samundari because of his services during the First World War.
