JKSSB counters news regarding delay in declaring result of class IV

  Jammu: Strongly countering the news article titled “J&KSSB fails to declare result of fast-track recruitment of class IV posts even after two months”, published by one of dailies of Kashmir yesterday, the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) today clarified that the written examinations for UT, Divisional and District cadre class-IV posts was conducted on 27th, 28th February and 1st March, 2021 in multiple batches in which 3.28 lakh candidates appeared. The Board further explained that subsequently it called upon these candidates to indicate their order of preference for allotment against UT, divisional and district cadre vacancies up to 1st of April, 2021 which was extended multiple times up to 2nd May, 2021 due to extremely poor response of the candidates. JKSSB postpones various exams scheduled from May 24 due to Covid-19 NEW DELHI: Due amid spike in Covid-19 cases in the state, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has postponed various OMR/CBT Examinations scheduled to be conducted from May 24 to May 31, 2021. “Due to surge in Covid-19 cases across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and rapidly changing circumstances, lockdown restrictions including social distancing norms and health considerations, the J&K Services Selection Board has reached to the conclusion that it would not be feasible to conduct the aforesaid examinations on the scheduled/ notified dates in view of the prevailing situation,” read the official notification.
